Tips for Winter Skin Care

Winter often causes harmful effects on our skin such as roughness or tightness. Suppose you wake up in the morning, look at yourself in the mirror and see that your skin looks chapped. A good way helping you prevent this situation is knowing a little bit about how skin functions in the winter and learning how to take extra care for your skin during this season.

Bathing with hot shower

In winter, you should bathe with warm or hot shower because it is both invigorating and highly beneficial to the skin by stimulating the flow of blood through the body. You should practice this habit when the cold weather is coming up.

Using moisturizing scream

Using highly moisturizing scream which contains zinc oxide and SPF30 protection will form a barrier against the harmful elements for your skin.

You should not forget to take care of your lips because chapped lips are often the most noticeable problem for a lady in the winter. Using highly moisturizing lipsticks with vitamin E can protect your lips effectively.

Exfoliating at least twice a week

Exfoliating at least twice a week will help remove dead cells and allow the skin to absorb extra moisture because in winter, the skin loses water and becomes chapped.

Drinking much warm water

Wearing layers

Wearing layers allows you to remove overheating in the atmosphere. Exposing skin to harsh winter elements such as freezing temperatures and drying cold winds must be avoided.

Having enough sleep

It is often said that “money cannot buy the benefits of a good night’s rest”. You rarely know your oxygen levels will drop if you do not get enough sleep, which means your cells will not be renewed as quickly. This is when degenerative skin aging sets in. Try not to sleep too late.

Get enough sleep, at least 7 hours per night
